Surfers in Bocas del Toro, Panama” 2010We’re talking about comfortable, casual lodging for visiting surfers, we’re looking at Lula’s B&B and Cocomo-by-the-Sea on Avenida Norte, Bocas Del Toro, on Isla Colon. It’s one of the largest and northern most islands in the Bocas del Toro Archipelago, near the border of Costa Rica.
Traveling to Bocas, as the locals call it, can either be as comparatively simply as taking a 60 minute flight from Panama City, Panama; or as possibly adventurous as traveling for a long number of hours by bus. Either way you will find your destination to be unlike any other. The rain forest ecology of the islands is immediately apparent, and sudden rain showers seem to warm everything up…most of the time.
